Capturing Bald Eagles at the beautiful Little Bear Lake

While on the way to camp in the Gila, I stopped at Little Bear Lake to stretch my legs and fly around for a little while, and try to get some shots over the water while there was still some sun light. Not long after takeoff, a bald eagle started flying the length of the lake, right in front of my drone. Doing my best to keep my distance, I followed it along the edge of the lake once, before I decided to land because I didn’t want to bother it too much.”

Documenting a thrilling off road adventure

I found out about this event through Facebook (the morning of) and rather Then try to race to get my jeep ready to go and participate, I decided to watch from the atop the west mesa, keeping a clear line of sight and connectivity over the long distances, and getting some quality action shots in the process.

While visiting the north, Between sporadic thunder and snow storms, I risked the weather for the shot. Over a period of three days this was the only chance I got to fly, and, Wow, did I luck out with a beautiful desert snow storm at the base of the Sandias.
